•  I started the print block carving with a designated carving tool but found I was able to get cleaner lines on the rounded parts of my cross design using a scalpel

• I took this opportunity to have a safety lesson from my daughter who is a taxidermist and was advised to invest into a broader handle which helps to hold the scalpel at a comfortable angle without the risk of cutting
